In the studio Ann integrates the elements of drawing, sculpting and painting in her wall sculptures and paintings. She also enjoys creating pottery and one of a kind artworks for clients on a commission basis. Ann’s artistic inspiration comes from the rich text and imagery from the books in the Bible. Ann is happy to bring the love of art to all of her students no matter their age or level of development! She enjoys the challenge of the art making process and is inspired by the high level of skill advancement in the students who work with her. Ann is also encouraged by seeing how each student’s creative expression brings balance to their emotional development and self-discovery. Ann Brucker received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1983 from Washington University in St. Louis and a Masters of Fine Arts degree in 1988 from University of Washington where she worked under Patti Warashina. She also studied in a one-year residency program at Philadelphia College of Arts with Bill Daley. Since 1983 Ann has taught art to all ages in museums, schools and in her art studios. She’s lived in Sherwood since 1999 with her husband Brad and has four growing children.
